THE GIFT OF A LETTER

When was the last time you hand-wrote a letter to someone? Today’s culture finds it much easier to type, text and tweet. All of these alternative forms of communication remove the power of emotion from the transmission.  Dr. Gary Young, the world's leading authority on growing, distilling and applying therapeutic essential oils, recently wrote that the oils can have a great impact on the emotions--but so does writing with pen in hand -- Not texting, typing or tapping your I-Pad!

WRITE DOWN THE VISION ...
Throughout history, words were written by hand. The Apostle Paul wrote letters to the new Believers throughout Asia Minor with whom he had built relation-ships. It is said that the Gospel of John is God’s Love letter to His children.  The famous poet Elizabeth Barrett received personal letters from Robert Browning which, over time, became sonnets of love. Eventually, they entered into a literary and marital partnership.

The FBI created a profiling tool called “handwriting analysis.“ This tool cannot be applied to non-written forms of communication because handwriting has an individual distinction just as voice has frequency recognition. Handwriting is a vibration that touches the heart and soul of the one receiving your letter.
I encourage you to take a moment to pen a few lines to someone you love … a friend, lover, or perhaps an acquaintance who needs encouragement. The power of a written letter far surpasses the cryptic tone of a text or tweet. And as Alexandra Stoddard wrote in her book, The Gift of a Letter, expect a response in return: “Frankly, my pen touches down on paper much faster when I feel a response is in the wind.” Receiving a handwritten personal letter engenders a consideration to respond in kind.

"And the LORD said to me, 'Write the vision, and make it plain ... it is for an appointed time and though it tarries,
it will come to you.'" ~ Habakkuk 2:2-3

THE WIDOW'S MITE IS REALLY THE WIDOW'S MIGHT

Where should you be giving your tithe?  Organized religion will tell you that your tithes go to them--the place where you get "fed."  Really?  Quote me chapter and verse on this and please do not drag me back under the Levitical Law of the Tithe  that applied to the ancient Temple.  My physical body is now the Temple; so with that reasoning, the tithe should go to me!  I find it totally curious that the Federal Government and organized religion have partnered together with the promise of a tax-deduction to make sure your tithe does go to them .

"The Virtuous Woman opens her arms and
extends her hands to the needy" ~ Proverbs 31:20

However, the Scriptures do say,  "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep yourself from being polluted by the world."  (James 1:27)

So from a Biblical perspective, my mandate is to apportion much of my tithe to widows and orphans.  I get no tax-deduction, but the return blessing has been exponential, turning the gift of a Widow's Mite into my own gift of a Widow's Might.    Now, as a widow myself, I am stronger, healthier and more prosperous.  What about you?

CHILDREN OF MILITARY MOMS--THE NEW CASUALTIES OF WAR

As an empowered, successful CEO of a woman-owned business--and a former Military Wife and Great-Grandmother, I feel qualified to speak to a rising evil in the very fabric of our society--the new face of Women in the Military.
A product of the Feminist Movement (which I personally observed taking root in the 1960's and which has become the "doctrine of devils"), female soldiering rips at the very heart of our societal foundation.  A woman's Right to Serve is touted as  "duty; patriotism; equality; diversity; opportunity and women's rights," but has produced the highest divorce rates; highest rates of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder; highest incidents of sexual assault; and the potential for life-long psychological stress for their children. Consider the mind and heart of little Johnny in this video as his mother abandons him to go to war--the operative word here is "abandons" ...

As Baby Boomer women, we are at fault for not mentoring these younger women in the ways of home and family.  Virtuous Women are commanded to "mentor the younger women to love their husbands and children ... to be guardians of the home." (Titus 2:4-5)  Are we instead producing homeland "casualties of war?"  What will the psychological traumas of abandonment and unloving spirits look like in 10 or 20 years?  Even higher rates of suicide?  Millions more on anti-depressants?  Will they be sexual predators?  Abusers of women?  Prostitutes?  Mark my words, the coming society will be saddled with dysfunctional adults--many of whom were little Johnny's needing a Mom, but getting a soldier instead.

"Children are a gift of the LORD: the fruit of the womb is God's reward." ~ Psalm 127:3

MUCH OIL IN THE HOUSE OF THE WISE WOMAN

The Virtuous Woman watches over the ways of her household and "there is much oil in the house of the wise woman." (Proverbs 21:20)  Sometimes, she's called upon to be "Doctor Mom" when the situation arises. Women are legendary for unceasing devotion to walking the floor with a colicky baby, or wiping the fevered brow of a sick child or ministering love and compassion to the bedridden elderly. A wise woman of ancient times was well aware of the therapeutic power of God's original medicine--essential oils.
Now, through the efforts of medical science,  committed physicians, quantum physics and women of faith, the healing power of essential oils is once again available to every household for every situation as show in the video below:

TEEN MAGAZINE SUCCUMBS TO DEMANDS TO ABOLISH AIR-BRUSHING ITS YOUNG MODELS

A courageous 14-year has won her campaign to force Seventeen Magazine to cease altering its models' pictures with Photoshop and air-brushing. Julia Bluhm, a Virtuous Young Woman, spearheaded a campaign on Facebook protesting the fakery in advertising that has popularized altering womens' (and girls') faces and figures to reflect an abnormal standard. This deception has led to a substantial increase in bullying, depression and eating disorders. Over 80,000 people agreed with Julia online that this practice needs to stop.

As a result, Seventeen Magazine has agreed  to discontinue its practice of "doctoring" the photos of its young models.  To better understand how Media Advertisers "Photoshop" the models, watch this video produced by Dove Evolution:

BRONYCON--GEN X-Yers SUFFERING THE PETER PAN SYNDROME

Is Generation X-Y becoming the "I'll Never Grow Up" generation of the new millenium?  A cult-following has developed recently surrounding what should be a kid's cartoon show called My Little Pony.  But the concept has gone viral with thousands of 20-40 year olds who recently attended the Brony 2012 Convention.  One 25-yo attendee was heard to say, “I thought about what people would say. 'It’s creepy. It’s weird. It’s a ... show for little girls.'"  So why do grown men and women flock to this fantasy children's world?  Take a peek:

"When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things ..."
~ 1st Corinthians 13:11

With the world on the verge of economic collapse; wildfires, flooding, and extreme heat devasting the country; and a pivotal presidential election on the horizon, it's a little unsettling to think the future rests in the hands of Bronies who shun responsibility, disdain maturity and lack common sense.
