HANUKKAH IN AMERICAN HISTORY

Tonight begins the first of eight nights of Hanukkah, the Hebrew Feast of Dedication.  Many Christians are unaware that Yeshua (Jesus) observed this Feast and His observance is recorded in the Gospel of John:   

"It was the Feast of Dedication and it was winter 
and Yeshua was in Solomon's Porch." ~ John 10:22

The word "Dedication" in Hebrew is Hanukkah!  The full story is a one of miracles, battles and supernatural anointing oil and is found in the Books of the Maccabbees.  But it is the rich history of our American presidents and American Jews who captured my spirit this Hanukkah season.  Come journey with me now into our nation's past Hanukkah seasons while Psalmist Marty Goetz shares an original holiday hymn:
